Adult Speech Therapy

We provide services to adults aged 18 years and above across a range of areas.

We support people with communication and issues resulting from a wide range of health conditions and disability including: 

  • Neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s or dementia

  • Accidents or trauma to the brain (TBI)

  • Stroke & Aphasia

  • Head and neck cancer and surgery 

  • Acquired Stuttering

  • Acquired Apraxia

Our speech therapy services include assessment, individual or group therapy and provision of education to clients and their family. 

What might your first appointment look like?

At the first appointment, you will discuss your concerns and identify your treatment goals. Your appointments may involve: 

  • An interview with your speech therapist to better understand your difficulties

  • An assessment of your current abilities, through the use of tests

Following the assessment your speech therapist will: 

  • Provide a likely diagnosis of your concern

  • Provide recommendations for treatment and management that is tailored to your goals

  • May discuss referrals to specialists or other services, if required

What happens next?

  • We collect your insurance details and check for coverage with your insurance company.

  • We send you a brief assessment report and recommendations, if applicable.

  • If you decide that you would like to receive services from us, we organise a fixed schedule of your sessions.

  • We offer sessions online and at our clinic.
